Eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure done on either the upper or lower eyelid, to improve one's peripheral vision and the appearance of the skin surrounding the eye. For the upper eyelid, surgery is used to improve the upper eyelid's skin all the way to the forehead. Fat and the muscles on the eyelid can alter as we grow older, leading to possible deformities and bulges.
