DoE spends $43 million on electric auto battery study

The Department of Energy today announced that 19 transformative new projects will get a total of $ 43 million in funding from the Department’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Power (ARPA-E) to leverage the nation’s brightest scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs to create breakthrough energy storage technologies and help promising small corporations. These projects are supported through two new ARPA-E programs -- Advanced Management and Protection of Energy Storage Devices (AMPED)
