DoE spends $43 million on electric vehicle battery research

The Department of Energy right now announced that 19 transformative new projects will receive a total of $ 43 million in funding from the Department’s Advanced Analysis Projects Agency-Power (ARPA-E) to leverage the nation’s brightest scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs to build breakthrough power storage technologies and help promising small corporations. These projects are supported by means of two new ARPA-E programs -- Advanced Management and Protection of Energy Storage Devices
