DoE spends $43 million on electric automobile battery research
The Department of Energy today announced that 19 transformative new projects will receive a total of $ 43 million in funding from the Department’s Advanced Study Projects Agency-Power (ARPA-E) to leverage the nation’s brightest scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs to build breakthrough energy storage technologies and help promising little organizations. These projects are supported by means of two new ARPA-E applications -- Advanced Management and Protection of Power Storage Devices
