Convenience shop chain operator Seven-Eleven Japan Co. has launched a door-to-door item delivery service using ultracompact electric vehicles.
A ceremony to mark the official launch of the service was held at the head workplace of parent firm Seven & i Holdings Co in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward on July 30.
Seven-Eleven Japan plans to steadily boost the number of EVs employed for deliveries, which covers all merchandise available at its retailers. The cars are leased from their manufacturer,
