Verizon sold 9.8 million smartphones in Q4

As AT&T, Verizon has nevertheless to release a complete monetary report for the final quarter of 2012 but an SEC filing gives a few fascinating facts. The carrier sold 9.8 million smartphones in the vacation quarter, a huge jump from Q3's six.8 million.
The filing hints at a "higher mix" of iPhones but offers no exact numbers. For Q3 the numbers had been 3.4 million Androids and three.1 million iPhones, of which 21% (about 650K) had been iPhone 5's.
