This aligns nicely with yesterday's rumors of the M7 featuring a new variety of stacked image sensor with what HTC calls ultrapixels. This implies the senor will have 3 layers of pixels stacked on best of every single other - combining into 1 ultrapixel and saving the need to have for interpolation.
