Researchers develop algorithms to assist lithium-ion batteries charge 2x more quickly

Engineers at the University of California, San Diego, have produced sophisticated estimation algorithms that permit lithium-ion batteries to run a lot more efficiently, potentially lowering their expense by 25 percent and enabling the batteries to charge twice as quick as is currently possible. In one particular instance, electric batteries could be charged in just 15 minutes.
