Seagen sails past 3GWh tidal power milestone
A tidal energy generator off the coast of Northern Ireland has been hailed as the very first in the globe to generate a lot more than 3GWh of electrical energy, marking a major milestone for the UK's fledgling marine energy sector.Bristol-based Marine Present Turbines (MCT) yesterday confirmed that its 1.2MW SeaGen device had produced a lot more than 3GWh of electricity, since it was first deployed for testing 4 years ago.Source:
