The French government, dealing with the imminent closure of a Peugeot vehicle plant, presented an help program for the flagging auto industry on Wednesday.
The new supplying will increase money incentives for purchasers of totally electric automobiles to 7,000 euros ($ eight,500) from 5,000 euros at present.
Subsidies on hybrid automobiles, created in France by Peugeot but also by Toyota, will double to four,000 euros.
